Jackie has 28 years’ business experience and over 15 years’ experience leading start-ups and SMEs in business development, marketing and communications. She works with clients in product and service development, production, strategic planning and helping them face challenges, which vary from financial and marketing to communication issues.
Jackie grew up in a family business and she put her experience to good use when as a handbag designer she co-founded Holden Leathergoods in 1988. In this boutique manufacturing company, she further developed her business acumen through the experience of setting up and growing a creative business in a challenging market (1988 – 2000). She won the Marketing Woman of the Year award in Kerry for two years running (1997 and 1998). She gained extensive experience as an exhibitor and a buyer at trade exhibitions in Ireland, England and Germany. She learned the art of effective communication with customers, employees and suppliers, and she honed her skills in the areas of product and service development and production processes and efficiency. It was through this process that she developed her key strengths, which led her to her building a strong reputation as a trainer and mentor in business development.
